Rules

The Net-Leet Q3CTF league

These rules are, obviously, ripped from Clanbase's rules which we copied and edited to fit our needs. We would thus like to thank Clanbase for their solid set of rules.

Matches are played 5on5. Showing up with less than 5 players is equivalent to a no show and therefore a forfeit loss.

Match rules - group matches

1. A group match is played as a best of 3 maps.
2. Only the first two maps may end in a tie. In the 3rd map sudden death is played if needed until one clan makes a cap.
3. Both clans select a map from the map list before the start of the match and inform the cup admin. The cup admin decides whose map is played first.
4. If a 3rd map needs to be played, it is selected like this: the clans take turns eliminating maps from the list of unplayed maps until one map remains. The clan with the most caps after 2 maps can decide who eliminates a map first. If both clans have the exact same number of caps after 2 maps, then the score of both maps of each clan must be added. The clan with the highest score decides who eliminates a map first.
5. In case of a two server match, the 3rd map is played twice with half the overall timelimit each time, one time on each server, and the scores of the two halves are added to determine the winner. In case of a draw the map is replayed twice on each server with half the overall timelimit, until there is a winner. The clan with the highest score after 2 maps will play the third map first on their server. If both clans agree the 3rd map can be played on one server in which case the normal rules apply.

All OSP client features are allowed. However, not being able to use some of these features (OSP hud, truelightning, altgraphics, ...) may not be a reason to refuse a server. Not being able to use the max. allowed connection settings as described under 2. may not be a reason to refuse a server either.

Match will be played every Sunday (Group A) and Monday (Group B)
No spec allowed
Only 1 coach per team


Server


The server has to be located in Europe. Average pings have to be as equal as possible. If needed, you can play a two-servers game if it's the only fair solution.
If you can't agree with the other team whatsoever, an admin will decide where you have to play.


Wildcard and Postpone

* Each clan only has ONE wildcard. Wildcards can be used anytime before the first map of the match is played.
Be careful not to use your wildcard lightly, as you can only use it once, so take care when re-scheduling your game.
If a wildcard is used, clan leaders will have to decide a new day for that match and tell admins as soon as possible. You are given a 6 days window after the wildcard is used to play a postponed game.
* Matches are officially played on Sunday and Monday (as shown in fixtures) but you can agree with your opponents to play on another date/time in the following week if you warn a headadmin/admin before saturday 0H00 (sunday games) or sunday 0h00 (monday games) and give him the new date and time. In that case your wildcard won't be used. If you warn the headadmin too late, the wildcard will be used. If a game is postponed, teams will have no excuse for not playing their match as they are supposed to have rescheduled the game and chosen a suitable date and time for both teams.
If the postponed game is not played in the next  6 days, a one point penalty will be applied in the general ranking for the team which didn't have enough players.

    Ex: Team A vs Team B game on Monday 04/02
          Team B wants to postpone so they warn an admin before Sunday 00h00
          They have until Sunday 10/02 to play this game or they will get the one point               penalty.           
          Team A
and Team B pick another date (Ex: Tuesday 08/02 @ 21CET)
         
         
          *In case of a no show from Team A on Tuesday 08/02, Team B will get a default             win and Team A will have -1point in general ranking (same thing will happen to             Team B if they don't have 5 players)
          *In case both teams can't play the match, both will receive a default loss and a -1             point penalty.
         
This might sound harsh but it is necessary to prevent games from beeing postponed forever like it happened last season. We will not tolerate it this time.       

Clans & Roster

A team can add members whenever they want, BUT a new player will have to wait 7days before he can play with his team.
A player has one and only one team, he cannot play for two different teams in the same season.

    Ex: PlayerB plays for TeamB, they are eliminated and don't go to the playoffs, so TeamX tries to recruit PlayerB for the playoffs ... <=== NOT POSSIBLE.

Cheat


Alias (however you call it, fakenicking, ringing), hacks (including aimbots, autoshooters, wallhacks, etc) and all kinds of rocket jump scripts are forbidden. Anyone breaking this rule will be considered a cheater, not knowing those are forbidden will never be an excuse to use any of those.
If you have a rocket jump script and you use it elsewhere because it is tolerated, you are STRONGLY advised to unbind them before each game.
Forgetting to unbind your rocket jump scripts and using them as a habit will be no excuse for taking an unfair advantage over your opponents thanks to a script which is forbidden by the rules.

Cheating will result in a ban for the player and default losses for his team, in all matches he played.

Client settings during the match

* pmove: off

* cl_timenudge: min. -20, max. 0
* snaps: min. 30, max. 40
* cl_maxpackets: min. 40, max. 125

Coach settings during the match
* rate: max. 3000
* cl_maxpackets: max. 30

All teams are asked to join the irc channel #net-leet for their games at least 15 minutes before the game's scheduled time.
This is to ensure that there are no problems, and usually teams will be asked to join a proposed server before the scheduled time so that peering issues and other settings problems may be sorted in time.
Matchresults can be entered by a cup admin if the demos and screenshots have been sent to him.
You always have to send results and screenshots to the supervisors even if a cup admin enters the score for you !

Promotion and relegation

Top 2 sides promoted, Bottom 2 relegated.
Playoffs are played on a best of 5 maps basis.


General Server Settings

* Powerups = ON
* Quad factor = 3
* PlayerModels = Any permitted.
